Since our modest beginnings in 2013 in the neighbourhood of Brighton, South Australia, Taste of the Himalayas’ development has been enlivened with the energy to serve the combination of South Australian Wines and the Authentic Nepalese dishes to the Local Community.

Every dish on the Taste of Himalayas menu is an accurate reflection of the cuisine that has been cultivated throughout time in various regions of Nepal. The restaurant was aptly named “Taste of the Himalayas”. Our traditional Nepalese dishes are bursting with flavour from herbs and spices.

We suggest combining traditional foods like chhoila, traditional curries, and sizzling dishes with our regional South Australian wines. The wine’s alcohol serves as a solvent for the herbs and spices. The herbs and spices in the cuisine balance out the tannins in the wine, giving the two dishes a wonderful complement.
